Our Learning Environment
Our Pre-School is a fully inclusive setting where every child is valued, supported and encouraged to reach their full potential. We recognise that all children are unique learners, and we carefully adapt and adjust our provision to meet the individual needs, interests and developmental stages of every child.

Our environment offers a balance of high-quality continuous provision alongside carefully planned adult-led activities. This approach allows children to explore their own interests through purposeful play, while also benefiting from focused teaching that supports new learning and skill development.
The provision is thoughtfully designed to cover all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, ensuring children experience a broad, balanced and ambitious learning journey. Our environment is regularly reviewed and adapted so that it reflects the changing needs, interests and fascinations of the children, helping to maintain high levels of engagement and motivation.
We provide a language-rich environment where communication, conversation and storytelling are highly valued. Books and stories are at the heart of our curriculum, inspiring curiosity, imagination and a love of reading. Through carefully chosen texts, meaningful discussions and opportunities for mark making and early writing, we support children’s developing communication and literacy skills.
Our provision is creative, stimulating and aspirational, offering a wide range of open-ended resources that encourage children to think deeply, explore ideas and express themselves in different ways. Children are supported to develop the Characteristics of Effective Learning by having opportunities to play and explore, concentrate and persevere, and develop their own ideas and problem-solving strategies.
We also recognise the importance of sensory-rich experiences in early learning. Our environment provides opportunities for children to explore using all their senses through activities such as water play, malleable materials, natural resources and exploratory play. These experiences support children’s curiosity, creativity and understanding of the world around them.

By creating a nurturing, engaging and inclusive environment, we aim to support every child to become a confident, independent and enthusiastic learner.
