Havannah Pre-School is situated at Havannah Primary school in Buglawton, Congleton. Operational since 2017, our popular Pre-School offers children creative opportunities which can be explored throughout a variety of exciting areas.

The nurturing environment that we establish within Pre-School allows our children to thrive and become effective and confident learners. “In the Early Years staff and parents work well together for the benefit of children's learning." (OFSTED 2019). This family ethos that is developed in the Pre-school, creates lasting relationships that continue throughout children’s journey into Primary School. |

Both Read Write inc and Makaton are taught in Pre-school, with great success, to develop early language development.

In 2019, Ofsted commented that children “show a growing awareness of sounds, which is developed further by the parents who use the optional homework tasks to support their children’s learning. These activities show how staff and parents work well together for the benefit of children’s learning. Emerging readers are confident in their own abilities. They read the sounds that they have learned and blend them together to form words. “ |

Using our extensive grounds, children explore their environment and through play, have the opportunity to learn about the natural environment, how to handle risks and most importantly to use their own initiative to solve problems and co-operate with others. |

We regularly welcome parents into the setting and parents have plenty of opportunity to learn with their child. Creative play sessions, sports days, ‘Shine’ and themed activity days, all enable us to develop successful relationships with parents and carers. |
