Year 6 - Mrs Hinds and Mrs Birdsall 2024 - 2025

Welcome to Year 6! 

In Year 6 you will find two teachers: Mrs Hinds (Mondays - Wednesdays) and Mrs Birdsall (Wednesdays - Fridays). There are also the wonderful Teaching Assistants, Mrs Allison and Miss Richards. 

Year 6 is one of the most important years at primary school. As well as helping children to achieve their academic potential, we strive to ensure children become well-rounded citizens who are kind, responsible and always set a good example to others. Children in Year 6 are the leaders of the school and we want them to always 'be the best version of themselves'.

Alongside lots of hard work, the children will get lots of other exciting experiences: Forest Schools, swimming lessons, learning an instrument, Reception buddies, school trips and an action-packed residential. 

So far this year, we have been learning about both World War One and World War Two. We have been fully immersed in these periods of history in our curriculum lessons.
