Learning Celebrations 3 - July 2020

This week, all the pre school, Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 children have been very busy in their bubbles doing a variety of activities and have shared pictures of their fun. We have also received some lovely photos from those children still home schooling. Thanks to everyone for all your efforts this week.

In Pre School the children have been having fun in their bubble competing in tiddly wink championships and making slime!

The Reception children have been working very hard both at home and in school this week. The children have been practising their set 2 sounds, applying them to their reading and writing. They have been learning tricky red words and playing fun sound games. In Maths we have been learning about money, using everyday language related to money to buy items from our role-play shop. The children have been doing a variety of Topic activities including: learning about the clothing we would wear during the Summer season, ice cream crafts, daisy experiments and nature artwork.

Year 1 have been working hard again in their bubbles and at home. They have been doing lots of pirate maths, making fairy wands, fairy doors and looking out for signs that a fairy has visited.

Year 2  have continued to work extremely well at home. Take a look at the photographs of their radiant rainbows, made from items which they found around their homes. They have completed further maths challenges and worked hard on their literacy tasks. Well done Year 2, I am super impressed!

The Year 3s have sent us some lovely photos of their home learning showing them working on their packs, making their own models and reading. Well done Year 3!

This week, the Year 4 children have been plotting co-ordinates, writing Victorian stories and having a go at a new skill. Take a look at their lovely photos.

Only a few pictures from the Year 5 children this week as they are surely winding down to the upcoming summer break.

The Year 6 children have enjoyed being back in school spending time together and have been doing some amazing art, making memory boxes, creating their own quizzes, researching the geography of the world and finding their house on Google maps. Take a look at their work.
