Internet Safety Week - Feb 2019
On the week of 4th February 2019, we held our Internet Safety Week. Safer Internet Day (5th February 2019) was celebrated globally with the theme: Together for a better internet.
The day was bigger than ever with more than 2,100 organisations and schools across the UK getting involved to help inspire a national conversation about using technology responsibly, respectfully, critically and creatively.
Throughout the week at Havannah, the children have taken part in lessons that focus on being safe when online. Children have learnt how to use technology safely and respectfully and how to keep personal information private. They should all be able to identify where to go for help and support when they have concerns about content or contacts that they have made on the internet or on other online technologies. To enhance the children’s learning, they have had a special assembly every day with a different focus linked to internet safety. The children joined forces with children from other year groups and had the opportunity to partake in a variety of exciting activities related to being safe online.
